Community Submissions: How to Contribute Wallpapers to Wallspace

Share your wallpapers with the Wallspace community. Learn the submission process, quality guidelines, and how your work gets featured.

Wallspace's library grows with help from the community. Designers, creators, and enthusiasts contribute wallpapers that get curated and shared with all users. Here's how the submission system works and how you can contribute.

Why We Accept Submissions

One team can't cover every aesthetic. The community brings diversity: minimal abstracts, vibrant nature loops, retro pixel art, cinematic landscapes. By accepting submissions, we expand the library and give creators a way to share their work with thousands of Mac users.

Submission Process

Submissions are handled through our Discord server. There's a dedicated channel for wallpaper submissions. Share your file (or a link), add a short description, and we'll review it. Accepted wallpapers are added to the library with credit to the creator. We typically respond within a few days.

Technical Requirements

  • Format: MP4, H.264 or HEVC
  • Resolution: 1920×1080 minimum; 4K (3840×2160) preferred for Pro users
  • Length: Loops work best at 5–30 seconds. Seamless loops are ideal
  • File size: Under 50MB for HD, under 150MB for 4K. Optimized encoding helps

Content Guidelines

We look for wallpapers that are cinematic, aesthetic, and not distracting. Motion should enhance the scene rather than overwhelm it. We don't accept copyrighted content you don't have rights to, or anything inappropriate. When in doubt, ask in Discord.

Attribution

Accepted submissions are credited to the creator. We'll use the name or handle you provide. If your wallpaper gets featured, we may highlight it in the app or on social channels — with your permission.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I retain rights to my wallpaper?

Yes. By submitting, you grant Wallspace a license to distribute it in the app. You keep ownership.

Can I submit wallpapers I didn't create?

Only if you have the right to share them. We need proof of ownership or a license that allows distribution.

What if my submission is rejected?

We'll explain why when possible. Common reasons: resolution too low, distracting motion, or rights issues. You can revise and resubmit.

Conclusion

The Wallspace library is better with community input. If you have wallpapers to share, we'd love to see them. Join our Discord and contribute.
